Vintage Yellow Opaline Glass Box with Bronze Rim

A small cylinder of opaline glass in the palest butter yellow, the color of lemon sorbet or a very well-behaved daffodil.

Opaline has a soft, milky glow that sits somewhere between glass and porcelain.. A bronze rim with a fine beaded edge circles the middle, and the lid simply lifts off. There's no hinge to fuss with.

It's sized for rings, hairpins, cotton balls, or a few matches by the candles. It's also equally convincing doing nothing at all on a dressing table, where it brings a bit of sunshine to the arrangement.
