Condition: The writing slope box remains in excellent antique condition, displaying beautiful age-appropriate patina that speaks to its storied past. Minor wear to the cased paper exterior and subtle fading of surface details are consistent with its nearly two-century history and only enhance its authenticity and character. The interior mechanisms function as designed, and all original accessories—the glass ink jar, crystal quill rest, and removable base—remain intact. One of the ink wells is missing. This well-preserved state is a testament to careful stewardship across generations and underscores its value as a genuine Victorian treasure.
