Antique French Marquetry Jardinière

Antique French Marquetry Jardinière

A beautiful antique French jardinière featuring intricate wood marquetry, ornate gilt bronze mounts, and a delicate hand-painted floral porcelain medallion.

This elegant oval jardinière showcases scrolling floral and foliate inlay throughout, complemented by decorative bronze handles, a finely detailed base, and a pierced gilt metal gallery along the upper rim. The central porcelain medallion features a romantic bouquet of colorful flowers, beautifully framed in an ornate gilt mount.

The jardinière retains its original metal liner, a wonderful detail that adds to its charm and functionality.

A stunning example of French decorative craftsmanship, this piece would be lovely filled with fresh flowers, greenery, or seasonal arrangements. Equally beautiful displayed on its own as a decorative centerpiece.

Condition: Beautiful antique condition with age-related wear and patina. There are cracks to the wood and marquetry, as pictured, consistent with age. Please carefully review all photographs for details of condition. The porcelain is in good condition.
