Product Description

An absolutely stunning 19th-century French Kingwood parquetry dressing table, dating to circa 1870. This exquisite piece showcases the artistry of French furniture making, featuring intricate geometric parquetry, rich wood tones, and beautiful gilt bronze ornamentation.

The tabletop features an exceptional geometric parquetry design, with contrasting wood grains arranged in an intricate pattern that creates remarkable depth and dimension. Delicate gilt bronze trim follows the graceful serpentine edges, while ornate decorative mounts and elegant cabriole legs complete its quintessentially French silhouette.

Beyond its beauty, this piece offers a wonderful hidden feature: the tabletop opens to reveal a concealed dressing mirror, transforming this elegant accent table into a functional vanity. When closed, it serves beautifully as a petite side table, making it an incredibly versatile addition to a bedroom, dressing room, or thoughtfully collected interior.

The combination of beautiful Kingwood parquetry, delicate gilt detailing, and clever functionality makes this a truly special example of 19th-century French furniture.
