Antique French Louis XVI Style Console Table

This is a charming antique French Louis XVI style three-tier étagère or side table dating from the late 19th century. The piece showcases classic neoclassical Louis XVI design elements with its straight fluted legs, delicate proportions, and refined carved details. The frame has been beautifully painted in a soft turquoise or seafoam green with contrasting cream and gilt accents highlighting the carved rosette blocks, beaded moldings, and decorative details. The oval top features a stunning inset marble top in a rich brown and cream variegated stone, likely a fossilized marble or breche, which adds both elegance and functionality. The two lower shelves retain their original hand-caned panels in excellent condition, providing attractive open storage with wonderful visual texture. The apron is adorned with a repeating pattern of beaded trim and classical motifs, while the tapered, reeded legs are accented with turned details and terminate in simple feet.
