An absolutely enchanting antique perfume casket, likely French or Italian, crafted in bronze and embellished with intricate micro-mosaic details. The oval casket is raised on petite ball feet and decorated throughout with delicate scrolling ornamentation and charming micro-mosaic medallions. The three bird scenes across the top are especially lovely, each rendered in tiny pieces of colored glass against a deep black ground.

The casket opens to reveal its original fitted interior and three perfume bottles, each nestled securely inside. The ornate gilt-toned caps are topped with beautifully painted floral medallions in soft, romantic colors. Each bottle retains its stopper, and traces of old perfume remain inside—a wonderful reminder of the piece’s original use.

The interior fabric remains in very nice antique condition, particularly considering its age. Overall, the casket presents beautifully, with some expected age-related wear to the micro-mosaic decoration. One glass stopper has a small chip along the top, which is concealed when the decorative cap is in place.
