Antique Rose Canton Plate

These exquisite 6-inch porcelain plates are hand-painted in the traditional Rose Medallion style, a beloved export pattern popular during the Qing Dynasty. Each plate features a central peony bloom surrounded by vibrant phoenix birds, auspicious fruit sprays, and repeating longevity characters (shòu)—symbols of health, prosperity, and happiness.

Intricately detailed and rich in symbolism, these pieces are a beautiful example of 19th-century Chinese Famille Rose export porcelain. The absence of markings is consistent with earlier production, predating U.S. import stamp regulations (1890).
