This is a beautiful example of Art Deco era vanity items, specifically a hand mirror made from jade or malachite glass. These mirrors were often part of larger vanity sets and were highly sought after for their aesthetic appeal. The design typically features a central figure, often a nude woman or goddess, surrounded by floral or geometric motifs.
Heinrich Hoffmann was a prominent designer working for Curt Schlevogt's glassworks in Bohemia during the Art Deco period. Schlevogt produced a range of luxury glass items, including perfume bottles, powder boxes, and vanity sets, characterized by their distinctive use of colored glass and intricate molded designs. These pieces are now highly collectible and represent the elegance and sophistication of the Art Deco era.
