French Antique Portrait Box - Madame de Pompadour

This beautiful antique French gilt bronze French Antique Portrait Box featuring a hand-painted portrait of Marquise de Pompadour, commonly known as Madame de Pompadour, was a member of the French court. She was the official chief mistress of King Louis XV from 1745 to 1751, and remained influential as court favourite until her death. This beautiful box features green jewels, which make it even more beautiful! Late 19th century. The inside has a maroon velvet and does have some glue residue on the top part of it.
